St. Pete is a great city for swimmers. We list 10 pools here, and 9 of them are run by the City of St. Petersburg's parks and recreation department, including the North Shore Aquatic Complex near the downtown waterfront. The rest are YMCA pools that come with a gym membership.

You don't need a gym membership to swim at a city pool. We couldn't confirm admission prices pool by pool, so the budget tiers here are estimates. Check the city's pools page for current admission and pass prices.

Schedules are the main thing to plan around. Lap swim, open swim, swim lessons and team practices all share the same water, and hours change between the school year and summer. Some pools also close for part of the cooler months or for maintenance, so look up the current schedule before you head over.

If you want a gym and a pool together, a YMCA membership is usually the simplest route. Over in Tampa, see gyms with a pool in Tampa, or browse all pools in Tampa Bay.
